This is a good quality cable that has been running non-stop for about 3 years in a server and is still working without issues (no negative impact on throughput).

This cable is well made and sturdy and it does work just fine. The computer it is installed on still has problems related to another part but it works well enough to see that this item made a big difference in how it is now compared to before. I've owned multiple startech cables over the years and none of them have yet to fail me.The wires are protected sufficiently, are long enough for most computer setups, and have no problems with speed.

The StarTech.com 100cm Serial Attached SCSI SAS Cable - SFF-8087 to SFF-8087 is a great cable.SFF 8087 is intended solely for internal use. This is an 8087 to 8087 cable. The product pics seem to be pre-production or prototypes as the finished product I received does actually feature a stress relief jacket at the connector ends. Cable has braided sleeving so should add to the durability as well as the braided look many of us actually like. Features a StarTech lifetime warranty.

I bought this so I could move the RAID Card in a HP DL320e. It will work with any HBA where SFF 8087 is required on each side. There has been no performance issues and the braiding is of sufficient quality for static installations. The retaining clips are fully functional and engage with little pressure but retain well enough and are easy enough to release in areas of tight clearance.

A good value for an internal Mini-SAS cable. It was the perfect length for me (exactly 50 cm, or about 19 inches) - but be sure to check your length carefully. 50 cm is not very long.
