I bought it it took me a few days to install it I installed it I was able to start the lawn mower one time to mow the yard and the next time it would not start the lawn mower I tried testing everything and the only thing that was bad is the starter that is brand new

My old riding lawnmower was just about to drive me crazy. It would barely crank over and was hard to restart once I stopped it. I noticed that the wires from the battery were really warm and that the body of the starter motor was really warm as well. A bit of research on Copilot said that there was likely a short or perhaps a worn out starter motor to blame. I ordered this starter motor at 8PM one night and had it delivered by 8AM the next morning (thanks Amazon!). It was a bit of a chore to get the old one out, but the replacement was a perfect fit - even came with a spare drive gear. When I turn the key, the mower cranks like it's supposed to. Now if I can just get that carburetor adjusted right....

My old mower had starting issues for a long time. I was reluctant to start parts changing so I tried everything else. I hoped that it was not the compression release on the engine. As a last attempt, I replaced the starter motor and it seems to go well now! No comment on long term reliability on the aftermarket unit but the price was right.
