As the title says, the box is not airtight, and honestly the size and shape of the lid doesn’t even line up with the edges of the box. However, the jars are airtight and the grinder is a decent quality. Those two things alone could potentially justify the price, but regardless the claim is that the box itself is airtight, and that is what I wanted to purchase, however that is not what I received and so I can only give 2 stars.

We all know what this box is really for. And it works perfectly. No frills, just a nice, sturdy, air right box to keep your stuff in. It's a good size for us. We didn't think a lock was necessary and we were right. Great value for the money.

I was a little disappointed. The top of the box was not well sanded and had rough spots that look light in color but no, that’s not dust. It’s the wood grain. Could have used a tad more sanding and varnish. As far as “air tight” that’s not applicable either. The sad rubber gaskets are floppy and don’t fit right so the jars do not seal properly. It’s more along the lines of $10 worth of product.

I bought this to be used as a gift so I needed to make some alterations. So far seems to hold up although the bottom piece wasn't as secure as I would have liked, and it came missing the cleaning brush. Other than that though, I really like this box. Those who have shared that it is not air tight are correct, it is not. I thought about adding hinges and a lock but instead chose to just ass some brass feat and used wood burning tool to personalize it. And I'm very happy with the outcome. Much cheaper than other options on here as well.

This case is cheap and upon arrival I understood why. The wood box is nowhere near airtight. At least a 1/4” gap around all sides of lid inset to the box. One of the jars came smashed to pieces. I immediately returned this piece.
