The bottom diameter of this 3qt saucepan is the optimal size for most portable induction cooktops. It heats evenly and efficiently. Liquids come to a boil quickly at a medium setting on both my induction cooktops. I find this saucepan easy to handle and it is just the right size for soup, rice and stew. My only concern is that condensation builds up inside the nickel knob on the lid. The screw securing the knob does not form a tight seal resulting in rust formation inside the knob. The knob and screw unit needs to be taken apart periodically to dry and clean out (or replaced with a stainless steel knob). Otherwise, this is my favourite piece of all my Staub cookware. It holds a good quantity and is compact enough to handle regularly!

ormai mi sono innamorato delle pentole in ghisa. Usando molto la stufa a legna sono perfette, il fondo non si deforma col calore e appoggia perfettamente sulla piastra.Ne avevo già un'altra della Pentole Agnelli, con smalto opaco nero, sempre un ottimo prodotto, ma questa la preferisco. Il rivestimento vetrificato mi fa impazzire.Quella della Agnelli la utilizziamo per fare il ragù alla bolognese o qualche stufato, questa l'abbiamo utilizzata per il brodo di carne (che è così buono nelle fredde sere invernali) o per il classico cotechino con le lenticchie delle feste natalizie.Anche il rivestimento interno è diverso, Agnelli sembra essere più ruvido e secco, mentre quello Staub è più liscio.Entrambi ottimi prodotti! Entrambi con prezzi importanti. Col senno di adesso acquisterei anche quella della Agnelli con il rivestimento colorato all'esterno, anche col rischio che si scrosti/sbecchi. Il nero è sempre nero, e in una casa è sempre bello avere qualcosa di colorato.

Love this pot and it arrived in great shape! One thing though, it is so so heavy. I absolutely love the shape, but I really can't lift it with one hand (this, in theory, being the point of a saucepan handle). If I'd known how heavy it was, I might've bought a different piece.

This is a great pot for many uses, in addition to sauces. Makes for a great serving dish at the table, and doesn’t over boil for me because of the height. Heck, I used it for an ice bucket to chill one bottle of rosé. Great presentation for a party.

I’m a huge Staub fan- I own three Dutch ovens in various sizes. Apparently they don’t offer this particular product in the U.S. (even the Zwillings site doesn’t have it) so I was so happy to find it on Amazon! This is a super deep pot, so it will be fabulous for cooking various dishes without worry of it boiling over, not to mention it is oven safe. Three quarts is a great size for smaller things that don’t require a larger pot. Of course, the graphite enamel is beautiful and that basting lid! I can’t wait to use it. Well worth seeking out. It was also delivered ahead of schedule from Amazon UK.
