I have now used this several times to hang brackets on wood and on cinderblock. Hanging the tabs they supply on wood is really not a big thing because you can easily screw or nail into wood without this tool. But, handing brackets on cinder block is a different thing. You would usually have to use a drill to pilot a hole and then install plastic or metal inserts to hold screws or bolts. A lot of fuss and muss and not always successful as the plugs tend to pull out. This gun shot two nails through a bracket, into cinderblock, on which I then hung a 50 lb weight over night. It held up just fine! One complaint: the kit cones with 2 types of screws - one that I used to hold the brackets and one that has a hanging loop on it (at least that’s what I’d call it). The hanging loop seems unnecessary, at least for me. I would have like more of the direct shot nails.

Explanations in the manual are good. Also I recommend their video mentioned on the product page. It shows someone actually disassembling and reassembling the tool.I especially like the mechanical five-level power adjustment, and that I can see how it's adjusted so I don't use more power than intended. It comes with gloves and spare springs, and it all fits in a blow-molded case.
