Our rack rail square holes are flat black powder coated and conveniently etched every 1-3/4″ for ease of component mounting. Made of 2.5mm thickness steel with 3/8″ square holes on one side for equipment mounting and .276″ diameter holes on the other side used for mounting into a cabinet, case, or custom enclosure. Purchased for a custom server rack that I am building. They arrived in damaged and appeared to be in good shape, that is until I went to use my rack studs. The space between the last hole for a 1U and 1st hole for next 1U are very short and none of the rack studs I have (red or purple) fit. Rack nuts are almost as bad, and the only way I could get those to fit was to jam them into the holes. The spacing is just too inconsistent to use these. I am still waiting on another pair to be delivered but I have a feeling I will be returning those.

Now, don't get me wrong, these rails do their job. But I cut and scraped myself SO many times working with these. The ends are not "finished" correctly; only one or two rails out of the eight that I received have an end that has been safely smoothed down, with no rough, jagged metal exposed. They function fine, but my blood cost you 2 stars.

Quality rails, as shown in photos. However, the provided diagram is inaccurate -- there is only 1 round mounting hole per rack unit. The diagram shows 2 additional round mounting holes per rack unit, which are not present on the actual rails.
