Bicycle? Sure. Mower? Yes I've done several. Motorcycle? Again, yes. Car? No freaking way I'd try a car tire. That would be a level of handyman desperation I have not had to engage in yet with tools like this. Many moons ago when dinosaurs ruled the earth my desparado friends and I spooned a truck tire off a rim of a 1937 dump truck because saving a few bucks was very important when that $$ meant less beer on a weekend. This is a labor intensive task involving soap, hammers on spoons, crushed knuckles and imprecise vulcanizing repairs. J.C. Whitney for all their marketing had guys like us in mind.Anyhoo, this kit has guards for rims so your motorcycle/bicycle doesn't look like a beaver chewed on it. It also has has valve caps and other do dads. Handy enough.Spooning tires is rough work. Start small, work up and use tools like this for starter work. They'll work but not on old truck retread tires. Your Italia 10 speed? Perfect.

They work very well and are smooth so the tire slips onto the rim easily, the provided time protectors are excellent and definitely help protect the paint. The added accessory’s are excellent to keep on hand in your vehicle or a toolbox in case of emergency. The spoons are a good length but not as long as I’d prefer, would be better with an assortment of lengths but overall I’d definitely recommend for the diy’er.

This is a very impressive kit. The tire spoons are good quality, and seem sturdy enough to last a long time. The rim protectors are a nice bonus to keep the wheels looking nice from the tire removal and installation process. The plastic on the handles does feel a little cheap, but I'm not sure that's really important. It should be able to do the job just fine. It's not brittle or anything, if anything just a little soft. However, that will probably make the handles more comfortable to use in the long run. Overall I'm very pleased and impressed with this kit and am looking forward to using it on my next tire change task.

Worked for changing tire on riding mower. I bumped into the fence gate with my mower and a screw punctured the tire. I priced getting a new tire put on locally and it was way more than I was willing to pay. I ordered these spoons and tire from Amazon and they worked well to remove tire and install new tire.It took some work keeping the rim still but I was able to get the tire off in about 10 minutes. If I had made something the secure the rim to, the job would be have easy. It still was not difficult and saved a lot of money. The lawn service centers charge more to replace the tires than getting a tire for your car.

Sturdy and well made, these spoons and the rim protectors are ideal for making repairs to poorly installed tires. I recently got new tires and one keep leaking air. Had the shop remount, check for cracks, etc. No problems found, yet the tire still leaked. It turns out that the molding injection "tag" (rubber thingies that stick out of the tire) had gotten somehow between the tire and wheel, allow air to slowly leak. I sure wish I had these spoons to help in the process of fixing the problem. The other part are the screw-in hole plugs to fix leaks from a nail or other object that gets stuck in the tire. I've used these before successfully. The point I want to make is that this is a great kit to have on hand if you ever need to fix leaks, which is sometimes much easier than taking it to a shop to fix.

Right out of the box, the tire changing tool set looked pretty solid. The three steel tire spoons felt heavy-duty and the rim protectors gave me some peace of mind—I didn’t want to scratch up my motorcycle wheels on day one. It also came with a nice stash of extras: valve stem caps, valve cores, and even a 4-way tool for dealing with valves. Definitely more than I expected for the price. What I liked most was how this kit wasn’t just for motorcycles. I can use it on my bike, car, or even the lawn mower. That’s handy. But here’s the heads-up: it only works with standard Schrader valves. So if you’ve got Presta or Dunlop ones, this won’t do the trick. All in all, it’s a solid kit for basic tire work that makes you feel like a garage pro—just double-check your valve type first.+ Strong steel levers+ Rim protection+ Multi-use kit+ Valve tool includedHope this was helpful!

I recently got this Steel Tire Spoons Tire Levers Set, and I’m happy with the quality and completeness of the kit. This kit is great for when you're working on a motorcycle, bicycle, car, or even your lawn mower, since this set has everything you need to remove and install tires and handle valve maintenance like a pro you'll find that this kit is the one as it comes with heavy steel levers, rim protectors, valve stem caps, valve cores, a 4-way valve tool, and even a core remover all neatly packed, making it easier to store or carry around.

Good quality set of spoons for home use. I have used them on my mower tires and it made the job much easier than trying to use screwdrivers. I also like the included rim protectors, they're very handy for not scratching painted wheels. I'm sure they're nice on alloy wheels too, but I haven't had an opportunity to try that. The extra included valve cores, caps, and tool are a good bonus, as are the little tire plugs. I'm sure they'll come in handy at some point LOL.
