This was installed on my 2007 Lincoln Navigator. It developed play 1 month after installation. In my opinion this was cheaply made and it did not last. I would not buy it.

So the review with the picture of the steering wheel just a bit off is exactly how mine installed. During removal of old part I placed a bungie on the steering wheel to hold in place, when installing new part I had to remove bungie and turn wheel just a bit for part to match up. I believe this is why the part is 40$ and not 80-120$ as all the other parts I observed were priced when making my purchase. If your anal about these things part isn't for you. I'm not thrilled but it works just fine. It is a bit annoying having the wheel off a bit but better than it locking up while driving. Again fair for the price but they should mention this in description. It is obvious they had some stock of some error molds of this part and are offloading it at a discounted price without telling the consumer.

The part is ok in every respect but one: there doesn’t seem to very tight quality control regarding the alignment of the joints. The photo shows the result: an off-center steering wheel. There’s no reason an alignment should be required, other than lax tolerances in this one critical element at the factory.
