I had to remove my steering column on my 1990 Chevy K 1500. I needed this tool to compress the spring so I could get a clip off to get to the part of the column I was fixing. Tool did what it was supposed to do!!

The price is right and it worked as intended. The legs are flimsy and if you don’t pay attention the compression gets outa whack. Take your time and it will do the job. If I was a professional mechanic I would buy something much nicer. For the hobby mechanic it works just fine.
