I received the kit and it was not in a prepackaged blue box like I have received for Stens kits in the past. It came loose in a sealed bag in an Amazon box. This was probably because of the oil; however, it would have been preferable if they placed the entire blue box into a sealed bag.So, I proceeded to change the oil, oil filter, fuel filter and spark plug with no problems. Then I installed the air filter. It fit on the housing base a little tight, but no real problem. Then, when I placed the housing cover on, the threads from the knob on top that screws onto the center post would not engage. When all said and done, the filter was a 1/2" or so higher than the old one and the cover could not go down far enough to engage the screw.After researching the 785-600 kit on the Stens website, it turns out I was sent the air filter/pre-filter from the 785-604 kit. I thought perhaps they sent the complete 604 kit, but the 604 kit has a different oil filter according to the Stens website, whereas I received the correct oil filter.I naturally couldn't return the kit because I already used the oil, etc. After contacting Amazon, they said partial returns cannot be made. (I was thinking to just send me an equivalent air filter only kit.) Instead, they processed a partial refund. Unfortunately, the $5.20 didn't cover a replacement air filter/pre-filter kit.

Just a little under the quality of Craftsman parts, but it's good enough and does the job.Even comes with sponge part that goes over the carburetor filter.Will buy this again....

Perfect fit for the filters and the oil seemed to be fine as well.UPDATE: I have reordered this engine maintenance kit as everything worked fine the first time. Second order was the same and everything works fine. Cheap and easy kit.

Kit has all the components you need for a mower tune-up via one-stop shop. All parts in the kit appear to be the same quality as OEM parts and are at least $15 less since this product came with free shipping. Great deal.

Ordered this item but it was not for my Troy Bilt riding mower, air filter was not correct type for my Kohler engine and neither was the fuel filter. Did use the oil filter, spark plug and oil.
