Worked great!

Worked, but easily pulled from antenna connection, thus breaking the 2 leads. The 300 ohm connector wire is the fragile multi-strand type used with interior connections. While it seemed to hold up with weather, it quickly came off when 'hit' by a passing person who accidently hit the cable.

This is a piece of junk. The f-connector cam loose when hand tightening. Then the case came apart. The joints aren’t even tight enough to be weather proof. Inside the wire is incredibly think which is not good if the connector isn’t strong. The wires were broken. Total garbage. Try something else.

Seems like heavier duty construction than other matching transformers available here. This is is good if you need to strip off the lugs on the end and use the wire to go directly into the antenna inputs on the back of a radio. With another brand on Amazon i stripped off the lugs, stripped away the insulation to find like five very fine strands of copper. Not so with this matching transformer it seems to be of a heavier gauge.

Can't say much about weatherproofing...works great indoors...just cheaply made...but at this price point I didn't expect much.

My installation is in the attic so the exterior weatherproofing this matching transformer offers was secondary. Why did I buy it for indoor use? Two reasons: I figured if it was designed for outdoor use it was top quality and I greatly appreciated the slightly longer 300-ohm leads compared to the other transformers out there. It works very well.

The unit is not really an outdoor unit although it is described as such. The boot does not look as if it would be waterproof and would require some sort of sealent to be used to prevent any corrosion, so be prepared with this before you climb to the top of your mast to install this unit. The other problem is the terminals, these do not look as if they are corrosion proof. I would suggest that you cut the terminals off completely and use the copper wire to terminate on your antenna. Alternatively terminate with some kind of corrosion proof plated terminals. So if you are armed with some waterproof sealant and some corrosion proof terminals this unit may be for you! I have bought three on the units but it is not worth me returning them. The postage for the three units was more than the units were worth in the first place. Unfortunately you cannot buy these units in the UK.

I bought this transformer to hook up a DVD player to an old TV via coax into an RF modulator. I set it up by connecting one of the ends into the VHF and one into the UHF.If you are using this application either through a DVD or VCR or even streaming Netflix onto an old TV (which, by the way is possilbe), you only need channel 3 or 4. That being the case, it was better for me to hook up both wires of this adapter to each of the two VHF slots on the back of the TV.A VHF/UHF hookup will not only work, but you will get pretty good reception. However, with both wires going to VHF, the reception will be absolutely perfect as long as your TV is good. I was thankful for the advice that someone gave me, because it was contrary to some of the stuff I was reading. As for this particular transformer, it is perfect. I suppose that they are all good. This one is cheap, plus if you have Amazon Prime, you will get free shipping. This is a very cheap and useful connector if you are into older TV's.Another note: if you are getting interference, it could be something like a cell phone close by.
