I got these to protect the hydraulic cylinder arms of my stern drive while trailering. I have a classic OMC Cobra powerboat and it has taken me a lot of time and effort to get it in good condition. I want to keep it that way. These stern drives have become rare and can be expensive.These well-made metal covers came with plans to cut to various lengths, depending on the make of your drive. I followed those and they fit like a T.Recommended.

So if you have ever seed the horror pics of Outdrives ground down to nothing by the road then you will want these.I don't trailer without them.I got these as spares as I'm bound to loose one one day.They are universal so you will have to cut them to fit.Its not hard to mark them for length and then cut with a hack saw.If your hydraulic lines ever break on the highway you will be glad you have these on.Will save you 10K for a new drive.Nice solid high quality material that is as nice as the name brand ones I already own.Don't wait.

I like how strong these are, and easy to cut to the correct length. I like that you can cut them any length to fit where you want your motor to be when trailering. I don't like that they don't "clip" on, so you need to put some pressure on them to hold in place. They do come with holes so I have mine zip tied to be sure it doesn't pop off if I hit a bump while trailering. Then I have to cut the zip tie and put another one on every time I trailer. Better than the board I was using, not as good as the triangle type support, but way cheaper. Overall and OK product.

First time I went to use they were too long so I had to cut. Then when I lowered the leg onto the supports, one of them split. Now I have a zip tie holding it together. Need to come up with a better design or material.
