The is a very portable DSP with built-in amps, but the media file capabilities are very limited. It has a decent app, but even the app gets a little annoying in some areas - it's very animation heavy, so instead of actually doing what you tell it, it's busy sliding stuff around and populating button animations for visual effect. I wish those could be turned off.Hardware-wise, the device has a pretty high noise floor - that is, the basic "hiss" you get from the device when nothing's actually playing. The hiss was quite apparent even when using the optical input.The FM Radio function works well, but it is VERY dependent on good antenna placement, and the antenna is fixed to the unit and cannot be easily extended. If you just let the antenna wire "flop" around, you'll get lots of static.The MP3 function is decent - it supports both 128kbps and 192kbps MP3's. The DSP doesn't support any other file types, however, and this was a big disappointment. No support for FLAC (!!) or WAV. Also tested WMA for fun, but that's not supported, either. MP3's only? That's too bad.The device pulls about 8W continuously when idle, but this will be super dependent on what type of speakers you're using and how loud you play the audio.I've attached screenshots of the app and some basic setup photos.No, I wouldn't recommend this. I'm disappointed by the lack of media file support, especially for FLAC, and I didn't care for the high noise floor. Setup is super simple, and the app works well, but the app animations get a little tiresome and can't be turned off.

We added the Stetsom HL DSPlayer 400x4 to my husband’s truck without touching the factory stereo, and the difference is incredible. It connects directly to the speaker wires, cleans up the factory sound with DSP, and powers all four upgraded speakers. He loves using the app to fine-tune everything, and we didn’t have to rip out the dash. Clean install, great sound—perfect upgrade if you want better audio but keep the stock head unit.---Let me know if you want a version with more emphasis on Bluetooth or the FM radio features!
