My son was warming up for the third game this paddle was to be used. He had the paddle in his right hand and was swinging his arms. The paddle hit his left shoulderblade and fell into two pieces. I couldn't believe my eyes. Paddles can typically take a lot of abuse. Not this one. It hadn't taken any abuse at all, and had hardly had any use.

As written in the headline, this is the perfect for beginners who is interested in getting into table tennis yet do not want to spend too much in doing so. Nothing remarkable in terms of the ability to produce spin but at this price point it's not really fair to expect that much.If anything I would compare this against those bats that comes in a bundle and this is a much preferred alternative.

Slow. You can put a little bit of spin on the ball. Good control (defense) for a nine dollar paddle. I don't like this paddle, but a number of my students like it. For nine bucks this paddle earns five stars.I have bought almost all of the cheap Stiga paddles. This one has been the most durable. It has survived eight months abuse in the hands of a bunch of teenage boys. The rubber is not peeling up.The Stiga pure color has much better rubber for 22 dollars. The Stiga Advanced pair of paddles with three balls is a faster paddle, but I broke both handles within a month.

Bought 4 of these paddles and been in pretty heavy use in the weeks since Christmas. They are performing as well as expected for basic paddles with reasonable pace and spin control. However the edging tape on one paddle has peeled off completely and I have had to glue down the top 1/2 to 1 inch of the rubber on all 4 of the paddles.Overall decent paddles for the money!

I bought two of these paddles to be able to play at a new outdoor ping pong table in the park near my house. They seem to be decent quality, and I like the multi-coloured stripes on the handles. I'm a novice player just for fun..The only reason I took off a star is because I feel like the wood could be clear-coated/lacquered. They are sanded so I don't think I'll get any splinters, but it would make the handle easier to keep clean.

These rackets are very cheaply made and the ribber padding on them is very thin. So much so that you hear the sound of the wood underneath when you hit with it. Unless you have never played pingpong before, I'd suggest paying a few dollars more and ordering one of the $15 racket.

This racket is a sturdy racket that lasted quite a long time. I was able to play with it for a while before the edges of the racket began to peel. I took off a star because the handle is a bit uncomfortable especially if you like to hold the racket Penhold grip style.

"Stiga Aspire Table Tennis Racket" is a good choice for starters. Its has some spin and some power. It's light so I don't know weather its better or not as I have always played with light rackets. In comparison to professional rackets it got everything 3/4 shades less. Less spin, less power less weight but its better for a new player. For this price range this is actually a pretty good choice. Though never meant to be competition racket but it might come handy for practice and it teaches more by giving less.Pros- Cheap- Very good for the Price- Lasts longCons- Not professional [As if I didn't know !!!]- Doesn't come with a cover [Shame, they should provide some kind of permanent cover]Thanks

My intensity is high, but my skill level is mediocre at best. For me, these rackets are terrific. If you're just a casual player, especially if you like a good competitive game, you won't be disappointed with these rackets...not the best, but PLENTY good enough!
