I loved the case with all the pockets. A nice place to store sewing necessities. In all of the ads for this product, it showed an embroidery hoop. That was not included. I was a little disappointed. A small thing, but it is shown in every photo of the contents. For the price, it should have been included. The threads are beautiful, colorful and silky smooth. I doubt if you could tell the difference from these embroidery threads and the DMC ones.

Colors are true to DMC. Treads are of good quality.

Pleasantly surprised! Though I've only used a few colors so far, the threads feel and stitch very similar to DMC. Only a few tangled/ knotted threads while stitching (went to a larger needle and that solved the problem). They feel like they are 100% cotton as they say they are, like DMC, and unlike CXC threads which are a blend of some sort but claim to be 100% cotton. The individual threads appear not as tightly twisted as DMC, which causes a little more thinning of the thread end as you stitch, but I didn't notice a difference in the appearance of my completed stitches. They are nice and soft but not so soft you will worry they won't hold up to stitching on aida, for instance. Like DMC, some colors appear to have more luster or shine than others, and I didn't notice any that were completely dull looking. I have not compared any colors to their DMC equivalents, this is not a priority for me as I don't plan on mixing threads of the same color in a project. I would not hesitate to use different colors of these in the same project with DMC though. They seem to have comparable thickness, unlike CXC which is slightly thicker. This company matches their thread numbering to DMC, just adds a 6 at the beginning. The threads do have a slight smell. After investigating a little I figured out it is the smell of the bag they came in and not the thread itself (it is a newly manufactured smell, if that makes any sense). Expecting that to dissipate over time, and it was not bothersome while stitching (I am sensitive to chemical smells which can trigger migraines). My only gripe is that I haven't figured out how to pull the thread from the skein without making a mess. One skein was fine, the other two I tried were a mess. Thought it would be similar to DMC (pull from the end with the number label) but not so sure now. I will figure it out though, not a deal breaker as I am very happy with these threads overall. Cheaper than DMC by far, though more expensive than CXC (I wasn't willing to take a chance on CXC after hearing and reading so many mixed reviews). If you're on the fence like I was, give them a try! Quick and easy way to kit up a full coverage project. Hope this review helps you.

WOW! What an awesome collection of embroidery skeins for such a great price! Both, the colors and the sheen are nearly identical to the DMC embroidery skeins I have. I am very impressed. There are slight differences in color but barely noticeable when you compare them side by side. Also, I believe this is real cotton. I did a burn test on these threads and my DMC threads to compare. Both behaved the same. All the skeins are neatly packaged in 4 bags with numbers visible (except for the middle rows). All fit in the included tote very nicely. The tote is decent quality, with lots of pockets and plenty of space for additional accessories. The included accessories are ok, I would have gotten this set regardless.I mainly got this set to make kumihimo braids. I don't cross stitch but have done regular embroidery before. It has been awhile since I have embroidered and this set is inspiring me to pick that hobby back up.At the time I got this set it went for $199.99 and it seams like a lot of money. But, trust me, I have already spent that much from local craft stores buying a color or two at a time and don't have the variety this set offers. If you are in the market for a good quality embroidery threads that don't break your bank, look no further.

This is a nice all-in-one kit with a convenient storage bag. The front pocket is nice for tools and smaller hoops or things like scissors. The clear plastic sleeve makes finding things easy. The main storage compartment has 3 sections and a slightly padded tablet sleeve in the back. The zippered divided pocket in the middle has 4 exterior pockets for quick access. The zippered center is great for you current project or extra projects or something like a magazine or two. One either side of the main pocket is the bulk of storage for thread or larger projects. The additional thread picker and hoop are fine but haven't been used yet (still working on a project). The threads are color coded via number and match very well to other well known color codes which makes matching patterns a breeze. The thread is quality cotton and have not had any threads break prematurely. The colors are even and super vibrant. For the amount of thread with matching numbers when buying individually, it can add up super quick. This is enough for a LOT of project. This would make a good gift or an investment in cross stitching. The price seems a little high but it really isn't in the long term if you cross stitch daily. Recommended and happy with this kit!
