This is a terrible machine. I didn't even get 3 inches before it stopped advancing and the thread was all bunched up. I purchased this to hem some curtains, so didn't want to buy anything expensive as that's all I needed it for. That being said, I used to sew on a regular basis so I know how to use a machine and how to thread a machine. I strongly recommend you look at other machines as you'll be throwing your money away on this one.
