Tagines are serving/cooking dishes that allow you cook foods in them while maintaining moisture. These tagines were clearly meant only for serving food in and not cooking. The quality of the ceramic is very poor and does not hold to to heating in the oven very well. I had several of them crack. They do look unique and cool when presenting a dish that you want to surprise your diner with. But even solely for this function, the set a a whole failed, because several of them arrived with manufacturing defects where they were chipped or cracked. These were not during shipping because there were no fragments or debris in the box. Front of the house needs to do a better job at quality control where their workers are not packaging defective merchandise for shipment and sale.

These tagines are cute, but they are very tiny. They look like something you would have a taste test in rather than an actual meal. I'm not sure how I would use them now because they're more appetizer than main course tagines.

I almost didn't order these due to the prior reviews but happily, mine arrived in good condition with zero breakage. The size is a bit smaller than hoped so read the dimensions carefully. The quality seems fairly regular like that found for a commercial kitchen and for that, I'm pleased. Very simple design, no frills but well made. Overall pleased.

Sadly I have to give these tagines only 1 star because of a lack of information by the manufacturer. This set is made of porcelain, which contains clay. I know those made of fired clay can be used on the stovetop or in the oven. There's no instructions included in the box, on the box, or posted on Amazon that state these tagines are stovetop, oven, or microwave safe. I'm reluctant to try them on my new glasstop stove, nor do I want them shattering in the oven because I've set the temperature too high. I'll be glad to edit my review, if Front of the House posts information on their Amazon selling site.

TERRIBLE product. Half of pieces broken in shipping. Cheaply and badly made, but the price is NOT cheap! I ordered these as a gift, and even after replacement of the broken pieces I would be embarrassed to give them to someone - they look like they came from a Dollar Store. I would never buy ANYTHING from "Front Of The House" again. Chinese-made garbage.
