My daughter has started to do animation and I thought it would be fun to do some practical animation with her and try our hands at stop-motion. I ordered this device and was put off by how simple it is while also being unclear due to lack of instructions. For instance, there's multiple threaded pieces and while I understand what the alligator clip is for, it's not clear what some of the attachments are for.Also, it looks like some of the attachments are handmade. While that's not necessarily a bad thing, it does take away from the aesthetics of the item and just makes it look amateurish, for lack of a better word. I just feel this is overpriced and can't recommend it.

There are no instructions on how to put it together and once I figured it out, I couldn't tighten the screws tight enough to actually use it. The arm was super loose and had issues holding anything I put on it making it useless for stop motion.
