My 2008 Expedition has suffered from front brake problems constantly, which sticking calipers, quickly warped rotors, overheating to the point of smoking--and had to spray water on wheels/hubs, etc. Tired of it all, so I replaced the flex hose lines (which can collapse internally, causing caliper not to retract), calipers (get 'loaded' so it includes the bracket), Hawk LTS Truck/SUV pads, full flush of fluid front-to-back, and these quality rotors instead of the junk at the autoparts stores. Also properly bedded new components (10 easy stops from 40mph to 10mph).The SUV now stops better than when we got it. Applying steady brake pedal pressure and you can feel it progressively grabbing. I have a lot more confidence in stopping and that this combination will last.One thing I am more cognizant of is when coming to a complete stop, especially from high speed or when towing, is not to let the pads rest on one spot on the rotors, as this can cause localized overheating. I saw evidence of this with pad-shaped blueing on the old rotors. This can contribute to premature warping. With this knowledge and these quality rotors, I'm hoping they'll outlast the vehicle now.
