Got it to work by pushing weather strip out slightly. I want this little project complete now, otherwise I’d maybe return it and get OEM part. I don’t want to go back and research whether this was labeled for my exact door etc…, so not gonna knock it too hard, as it did work. Quality appears on par with OEM (which broke), so…. It works, but not perfection.

With a standard storm door bracket, door wouldn’t open far enough. This works as advertised. It puts the connection point of the rod closer to the door, allowing the door to open fully. Identical to the Anderson parts. Very pleased.

This last one I ordered just barely fit. the crook or hook thing really is made in China and China cheats everyone on everything!. The Hook thing was made with almost not enough hook to grab and hold everything together.. Since I order this one, the upper hook has already failed. I have 2 doors and have replaced all the hooks because they break off. I could without, except they or the bracket itself makes they door jam stronger, which keeps jam from breaking and cracking.

Just want i needed. ANDERSON door/window company will charge an arm and leg for replacement parts.Amazon.com is the way to GO!

This was the second kit I have purchased for my door. My pups are kind of rough on our door, so we needed another new kit. It's so easy to install, I was able to do it with only a screwdriver!
