About this item

  • ※Heat Powered Fan- The wood stove fan is powered by heat, no batteries or electricity required. It converts the heat generated by the stove or the fireplace into electrical energy to drive the fan to spin. It's quite environmental friendly.
  • ※4 Blades Wood Burner Fan- This wood burning fan is newly designed with 4 blades, which makes the fan deliver a very broad thermal current. The hotter the stove top is, the faster the fan spins and the more warm air it circulates.
  • ※Whisper Quiet- The only moving part of this small heat powered fan is the blades assembled. Silent running(less than 25db), say goodbye to the terrible noise. You even don't know the stove fan is there, but you will still feel the warmth and enjoy the warm air in a quiet and comfortable environment.
  • ※Operating Temperature- This wood burning fan is designed for using on freestanding stoves with a normal surface temperature between 85-350°C(185-662°F). It will start spinning automatically when the temperature gets around 50°C(122°F), and work most efficiently when temperature get to 250-300°C(482-572°F). It will stop working when the stovetop cools down.
  • ※Notice: Please avoid using the stove fan at high temperature continuously to ensure it a longer lifetime. If you have any questions about the stove fan or your order, please feel free to let us know and we will do our best to help out quickly and efficiently.

Notes:
1. Please keep the stove fan out of reach of the children and pets when using.
2. Position the stove fan on a smooth flat surface of your stove top, near the side or back of the stovepipe.
3. The stove fan is designed for usage on freestanding stoves with a normal surface temperature of between 185° F - 660° F (85° C - 350° C).
Operating above the recommended temperature of 660° F / 350° C may damage the fan and the electricity generating units.
4. Never handle the base of the stove fan, do not set the stove fan down directly on an unprotected surface when hot. To move or carry the fan, always use the extendable handle while wearing gloves.
5. Good stove safety practice includes the use of a stove thermometer.
Why do we need to use the stove fan?
Instead of the heat rising vertically with a standard stove, the stove fan uses its blades to divert the warm air horizontally. The extra movement of air will help warm the whole room, not just the ceiling and the area near the stove.
How it works?
The theory of the stove fan is very simple and easy to understand, but highly effective. The stove fan generates its own power by the heat from the stove. The fan uses thermoelectric technology to convert a temperature difference into electricity.
There is a unique thermoelectric module at the center of the fan base, which converts the heat into electricity. Once getting to the fixed temperature, it begins to circulate warm air throughout the room.

The product works as described. It doesn't move air like a blower would. But it does create a very faint flow of air.

Silent operation. Works at moderate temps. Strip on base is nice feature for single wall stoves that get very hot.

Second year of use and still working fine. Lightly moves air around warms up cold spots. Just remember they do not move air like a big house fan. Two on my stove.

Had my doubts about this operating as described, but it is perfect. I set on top my wood stove. As box heats up, fan starts to operate. It spins consistently and moves air so heat is dispersed throughout the room. As stove cools down, fan slows and stops, until next time. Fan isn't real large, so don't expect to feel a blast of air, but air is circulating.

If you need a way of curculating some heat off of your stove in a smaller room ,this works pretty well.Get a good temp gauge to go along with this to regulate your stove temp ! (You CAN get your wood stove TOO hot !!!!! )

Well they are poorly made but that's what I expected for the price. 2 for $28 on overstock sale isn bad at all. The fans are very quiet until you get up close and you can hear the electric motor. They do move air well however the blades are out of balance and you can see them wobble. Eventually this will wear the motor shaft out and they will die. If they last a few years for the price it's worth it to me. The electric savings from the stock fan on my wood stove is more than the cost of these fans after a few months.

You won't feel a breeze when this little fan is blowing but you will feel a change in room temperature as it moves warm air across the room. I am fascinated by how it works silently and efficiently to redirect the warm air that is coming off of the cast iron stove. Once it was clear that the fan does move the heat, I bought a second one to face the other direction. It is amazing. Silent. It is powered by the heat that normally goes straight up to the ceiling and it stops on its own when the stove has cooled down. No wires. No switches. No electric. I even tested it on an electric radiator. Once the radiator heated, the fan began moving the air across the room and it continued to turn until the radiator cooled down after being turned off. It is not intended to raise the temperature by several degrees. It is intended to redirect the warm air across the room which you will feel after it has been on for an hour or so dependent on the size of the room. It is designed for smaller spaces and lowered ceilings. Don't expect it to heat large open rooms although it warmed up my large front room.
