I used uv cement to fill in the narrow slit. They really work well and are quite inexpensive.

Standard self adheasive strike indicators. Easy to use and Liteweight. Thanks to method of construction these add little if any additional weight to your line. Float for ever, only slight drawback is that once attached they don’t offer the ability to be easily repositioned.
