I ran this machine in my basement for an hour as suggested. Came back and aired it out for another hour. When I went back to the space, I noticed no change in the odor of the basement. Thinking it’s just because I have a musty 1920’s basement, I tried it in my all season room that has “old home odors”. Ran it again for an hour. Again, no change. Might work for others, but it did not work for me.

This thing WORKS. I don't know the science, all I know, stay out of the room until it's done, and 30 minutes after it finished. When it has done "it's thing," the room smells fresh, clean, and like no one had been there! Love that for our busy house!

Turn this thing on and run away! Pretty powerful for a small machine. Cat Urine smell was gone from a 980sqft house in a few hours.. Took wet dog smell out of a used car i bought. we also use it in the basement regularly for the "musty" smell and have had no issues. Only wish there was a way to clean the plate..

Clearing smoke and pet smells from a trailer, this thing annihilated them with just a few short sessions. Then used it on a mildew smell we had in a truck. Works quickly. Make sure your ventilating areas after use because it is strong.

So, my teenager decided to light paper on fire in his room. To the point his room was so smokey he couldn't see his hand in front of his face. Why? Anywho, trying to get the smoke smell out of his room was proving VERY difficult. It was everywhere. We opened all the windows, took everything out of the room, Febreze, washed things, etc. It was still there, in the carpet, in the walls, everywhere. My boyfriend found this and so I bought it. He waited until he was the only one home, set it up, made sure no cats were in there and let it do its thing. He said it is VERY strong. After the allotted time, he went in there to open a window and said the new smell almost knocked him out. But the smoke smell is gone. :)

Ozone machines are great for removing odor from the air. I used this for cat box odor and it worked like a charm. A couple of weeks later, the ozone smell remains. Just be sure to air out your space after use. Ozone is an irritant to eyes and breathing.
