We had a problem with raccoons in trash bin. I felt we were a buffet for them every evening. We had tried the bricks on the lid and bungee cords. This is a solid rubber strap. When installed the lid cannot be lifted. An animal cannot push under the lid. It is a firm fit. It also helps if wind knocks over the bin. Your trash will stay in and not be all over the yard.
