Works way better than static roller tensioner that, restricted by room, can only push down, decreasing wrap on cog. And it’s QUIET. The 1/8” single speed chain over roller was annoying to say the least, quit noise. So I got the KMC 3/32 or 9 speed chain and 3/32 cog. The Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub comes comes with an 1/8” cog, or single speed, as far as I know. Hard to be bummed when hub was just over a hundred bucks. Cheaper than a fancy cassette. And the hub is working perfectly with the Bafang BBSHD. Anyway, drivetrain is near silent. Beyond all that, the price was right. Saw it for twice the price on EBay.
