It's well built, but the head hole is crazy tiny. I'm not even sure this would fit in my toddler.

This shoulder and chest pad fit my son great-although it was a little tight to get over his head. We were able to make it work, but if you child has a larger head or is on the bigger size for junior pads, I'd go up a size!

I read the reviews and thought that surely my 11 year old son's head wouldn't be too big for the hole on these shoulder pads. I was upgrading in size from a youth large to a junior medium - essentially going up by two sizes. It was a tight fit getting them over his head and an actual struggle getting them off. I compared the size of the head hole between the old smaller sized shoulder pads by placing them right over each other, and the smaller ones had a noticeably bigger and more flexible head hole. I never thought I'd write the phrase head hole so many times in a single paragraph.Anyways, these are getting returned. Such a weird and obvious defect. And the funny thing is the shoulder pads and arm pads and chest and back protectors all fit fine, maybe even a little on the big side.

Unfortunately this product did not fit our son so we returned it. It seems to be made well.

This product works well except that the hole for the head is small and when I try getting it on I have to put a lot of force to get it on and off. If your going to buy this product I recommend getting a size up or if you have a small head then your golden. Overall this is a good product.

It seems like the hole for the head is too small. It’s odd because I’ve never had this problem before (been playing for 6 years this is his 3rd chest protector). It’s difficult to get over his head though.
