I consider myself an intermediate sewer, after not having luck with the fit of many commercial patterns, I gave the Style ARC a try. This was my second styeARC pattern. The first one, the Bob woven pants, was easy to construct and the fitting flawless. Constructions easy as I followed a video available via QRcode. Then I purchase the Bonnie Woven Skirt, thinking that it was going to be as easy and enjoyable as the pant pattern. It was not. The instructions are confusing and the steps don’t make sense. I had no luck finding a tutorial to construct the skit. It was a disappointment after the great experience I had with the Bob Woven Pant. If there are any tutorials for this skit, I would love to see it.

First of all, I love Style Arc designs. I learned to sew in the United States many years ago and feel quite proficient with my skills. This is the first Style Arc pattern I made. The logical steps in my mind were not the same in the "light" instructions provided. I managed until I got to the waistband where there was a major disconnect. I finally cut a new waistband and used my experience to finish the skirt. It's a very nice design. All that to say, I really do like the skirt and have made 3 additional skirts from this pattern using my experience as a guide. Terminology is different in some areas. I've since made several garments using Style Arc patterns making my own translations. Know your measurements and actively use a tape measure to ensure the pattern will fit. These are NOT beginner patterns. If it is sold as "Challenging" believe it and choose something else.
