DESCRIPTION: This is a pattern for a designer women's pant. Not just a designer pant this style is so comfortable to wear! The tucked elastic waist, dropped crotch and slight balloon-shaped leg give this designer pant an edgy look. The leg narrows off at the cropped hemline, so you can wear the pant rolled up if preferred. FABRIC SUGGESTIONS: Linen, crepe, silk, fine wool. FABRIC ESTIMATE (cut 2-way on the open fabric) (WIDTH 110 cm / 44") > sizes 4 -10: 190 cm (2.1 yd) > sizes 12 - 24: 225 cm (2.5 yd) > sizes 26 - 30: 350 cm (3.8 yd). TRIMS: Elastic for waist (4 cm or 1.5")

I am a plus size gal with a new obsession for loose linen pants. Unfortunately, they run over $100 per pair at my local shop and online, so I decided to give this pattern a try. It is great. I was able to make a stunning pair of linen pants in a morning. They have pockets, fit great, and are just my style. I am planning to adjust the leg shape next time for a wide leg, but the balloon leg is cute for summer! For size, I used my normal size and they fit very loosely, which is exactly what I want in a style like this. Note- I did adjust the waistband application. I sewed it on first, then folded it over and stitched in the ditch, leaving a gap to insert the elastic. It was easy and if the elastic starts to twist, I can tack it down. I have a super stylish pair of 100% linen pants for about 1/3 of the cost of ready made. I will definitely make more with this pattern, too! All in all, I am extremely pleased with the pattern and will buy from this company again.

I like the design and shape of this pant. The pattern came with multiple sizes. There are only four pieces to this simple design, and the cutting lines, markings and instructions are very clear. I did extend the pockets to catch them in the waistband in order to keep them firmly in place and make them more stable for carrying heavier items like my phone and keys. I found the method for sewing on the waistband to be unnecessarily difficult. If I were to make them again I would sew on the waistband first, and then feed the elastic through an opening left on the inside seam before stitching it shut by hand. What is most unfortunate is that the measurements provided for the sizing is so far off that the pants are absolutely HUGE on me. I understand that the fit is meant to be loose and relaxed, but these are so big that they look ridiculous and are unwearable.

This is only the second article of clothing that I’ve made. So I don’t have a whole lot to compare this pattern to, but it was pretty simple. And I looooove the pants. Can’t wait to make a whole bunch in different colors

Came out great. Goofy waistband instructions. Just make a casing and insert the elastic squooching it along with a pin. Best with very lightweight fabric.

Love the pattern. The crotch was a little low for me so I shortened one inch -> perfect! I modified the pockets to hang from the waistband so the weight of my cell phone did not tug on the pants. I’ve made 3 pr and will make more. SO comfortable and great pockets (with modification). Love the waistband.

I really like this style of loose fitting comfortable pants but was unable to find any similar pre-made ones in stores. So, I purchased this pattern and am very pleased with how it turned out and how easy it was to make. I have sewn for 50 + years so there was one thing that I changed as far as construction. For instance: It is so much easier to put the waistband on first, leaving a gap to insert the elastic through and then sew the elastic together and sew up the gap. Then, top stitch through the elastic and waistband several times to keep it from twisting and give it a finished look. Otherwise, it is very easy to make this pair of attractive and super comfortable pants.

I found that the markings for the sizes to be difficult to read. Just having the different colors, dotted lines, and lines makes it difficult to know where to cut. Consider marking them with sizes and not only colored lines would be helpful. Eyesight for the older person isn't what a thirty year old has, that makes this pattern difficult to read. I haven't sewn it yet, but found the pattern lines to be the biggest problem so far.Now I have finished the pants. I didn't like rolling up the cuff of the pants, so I put 3 pleats in the bottom of pant, which pulls it in like the picture. That has the look, I want. I had already hemmed the pants then put in the pleats. I would not adjust couch as suggested by another reviewer, because this is meant to be free flowing.
