This only fell apart during the very first use, of course, right after the return window closed!! This is barely 1 month old and unusable!! I will update if the seller can send a replacement.

I would be more likely to call this item a meat conditioner than a tenderizer. With a fork, we tend to compromise the texture of the meat and a hammer just damages. This device provides just enough penetration to soften the outer layer and allow for marinades. As far as sanitation goes, a brush, hot water and soap and complete air dry will do the trick. If your getting more than just juice on the inside, your pushing too hard. Cheers.

The tenderizer does what it’s supposed to do it tenderizes, but is hard to clean because of the holes in it. The holes hold food inside the tenderizer and its a job to get it out. Makes it unsanitary if you ask me.

Easy to use, just roll all over your steak (or whatever meat you’re tenderizing)! It’s a little tricky to clean with the picky rollers, so I wash immediately after use with a kitchen brush with dish soap under running water and then let air dry before storing on a teacup hook in my cupboard.

Reasonable, attractive and works!The only thing that I could say not positive is that it is hard to clean. I soak it and then use a brush. There is no meat tenderizer of this kind that is not hard to clean, BTW.I use this for beef jerky strips, cubed beef and pork. It is alittle rough for chicken breast.Highly recommend!

I used this tenderizer on some lesser cuts of beef I wanted to marinate. Usually I leave the marinade on overnight but with this, it only needed a few hours. I did find the meat sticks on and it's a messy process but it's less than the mallet thingy I was using before. I ended up holding the meat down with a fork at one end to keep it from rolling up and my fingers away from the sharp spikes.
