You can try to save, but at the end it is just better to get original parts. Don’t settle for less, or down the road you’ll have to get original parts anyways. Save the hustle and the money.

I generally use wix filters because I can find them easier than genuine Subaru filters but I bought this one off Amazon to use and so far so good. I recently went on a thousand mile round trip and the car performed great. I installed this on a 2017 Subaru Forester premium 2.5 l engine. I typically change my oil at 5000 mi so I don't know the longevity of this filter compared to my wix filters that I usually buy. Thanks!

I have ordered this oil filter a few times, all of my orders perfectly fulfilled with the proper genuine subaru oil filter (PN: 15208AA15A) sealed in plastic wrap. I hardly see that anymore! This is a particularly important feature so that no contaminants can enter the filter prior to installation. The fact that this filter is made in USA is just an amazing bonus!FYI - this is the correct filter for a 2020 Subaru Forester with the 2.5L engine.

There have been many discussions online about which engine oil filter to use with a Subaru. After reviewing many opinions (including three different Subaru parts), I have settled on using the OEM filter because of the media density as well as relief (bypass) valve pressure. This 15208AA15A happens to be the OEM filter for my 2018 Subaru Outback as well as my 2013 Subaru Forester.This filter is available with Amazon's Subscribe & Save program, which saves me a ton of money! I have been buying this filter and using it with engine oil.

I ordered this on Thursday planning to do an oil change on Sunday. Sunday came, I drained the oil out of the car. Loosen the old oil filter on the car, now just waiting for the new filter to arrive. Finally it was delivered. I hurry up to open it so I can get the car back up and running. Once I got it opened, I was confused. There was no oil filter it. It was a waist training belt. I looked at my wife and asked is the car getting into shape for the new year? She looked at me and said "I don't think so". I always thought the car was sexy and in get shape. So I decided not to put the waist training belt on the subaru and return it back to amazon
