This cap and retainer fit my 2002 Subaru Forester perfectly. Original Subaru part; matches the old cap.

I ordered this because for some reason my washer fluid cap went missing after a visit to my local Subaru Dealership. The original one for my 2011 Subaru Forester has the cap with a long plastic "tail" that goes into the washer compartment. I found knock offs which would work but those would cost more than this option. I saw a review that shows that this worked on their 2015 Subaru. So I decided to buy it since from the buyers picture my Forester has the same layout. So once I got it, I undid the screw cap, put it under and screwed it back on. It fits like a dream and the cap has a very nice seal on it. Would recommend it as a different alternative, and now I know it cant just disappear. :)

Simple 2 minute install and the new cap fixed 2 things:1. The retainer strap works and there's no chance of losing the cap now.2. The new cap is very flexible and provides a good seal to the neck of the windshield washer fluid reservoir (The old cap due to age became hard and inflexible and would not seal very well. With the old cap if you filled the reservoir over 70% the fluid would splash around and leak out of the cap.Very satisfied with my purchase.
