How does it work?

What makes this game so awesome to play is fluid dynamics, or the movement of fluid. We see fluid dynamics all around us, such as at home when we run water from the faucet at high and low pressures.

But what Submarings shows you specifically is “Bernoulli’s Principle”. This principle states that an increase in the speed of a fluid occurs simultaneously with a decrease in the static pressure of that fluid.

The principle can be applied to various types of fluid. For Submarings, it’s water! And what better way to experience “Bernoulli’s Principle” than under the sea!

When you push the buttons on the base of Submarings, the force from your fingers creates water pressure within the tank which is proportional to how hard you press the buttons. The pressure pushes on the water molecules and gives speed to move.

Therefore, the harder you push the button, the faster the rings will move!

Pretty cool, huh? Now, how many rings did you catch?

I liked that the product came with educational information and instructions. It's a great value, durable, and a smaller size toy that makes an awesome gift.

This is a great toy for people who remember the old Parker Brothers Cartesian diver (PBCD) from the early 1970's. This version is almost the same size but is designed without the black metal band. The bottle was a little deformed probably due to storage pressure differential but it popped back out. The lid is plastic which is better than the PBCD.It is admittedly fiddly and somewhat temperamental to set up. The key is to get rid of the free bubbles in the bottle. The diver itself needs to contain a bubble of air INSIDE the for this system to work. I set up the toy by dunking the whole bottle into a large bucket of water (AND BELOW the water level of the bucket) and shaking out the free bubbles which "sticks" to the rocks and plastic accessories. This also ensures you do NOT have a gap of unfilled space in the bottle once the lid is screwed into place (screw the lid under the water level of the bucket).Again- Patience is needed to set this up.The toy works when the bubble of air INSIDE the diver is compressed and causes the diver to sink. Extraneous bubbles outside the Diver is one of the reasons why this toy will not work.Anyway this is a great walk down memory lane without spending a lot of money buying a collector's original from the 1970's.I almost forgot to add: Over time the diver will naturally stop working because the bubble inside the diver diffuses - this is normal. The toy will have to be refilled and reset.Don't let it sit too long filled with water. It will get moldy.

Amazon glitch states for a few weeks my product is late but I received it previous to the late notice, so Luki Lab was actually quick to process my order. The toy is great for adult and kids, lol...notice adult first. Love the physics aspect of it. It's also built with quality, making the price fair. I'll be checking out what else they offer! Recommend this company. 😁

Like some reviews stated, the buttons are too hard to push for it to actually be an enjoyable game (even for an adult). Will be returning 👎🏻

Neat Cartesian toy from my youth. They solved the rust issues from the original nicely. The reason I can’t give it 5 stars is two reasons: I think the blow mold bottle is too thin because it make a loud pop upon squeezing which affects the grip of the divine toy and the base plate will not stay attached when in use. They did offer to replace or refund but it wasn’t worth the trouble and shipping for a $20 toy.
