I estimate the peg protrudes about 1 7/8 inch total from the wall (about 1 1/4" from the base). This might be kind of shallow for bulkier robes. That being said, I would guess a stubbier peg would also reduce leverage across the suction cup making it more secure. The appearance is good.

These brushed nickle hooks are quite impressive especially when you factor in the price. They are suction so can be used or moved easily. This is a nice feature since they are not permanent or need to purchase new adhesion. One was used to hang a wreath on a glass outside door. The wreath is light, but the hook has not failed in the elements. I used another in the shower to hang a teak caddy. I was weary about putting this amount of weight on it. As of now, it has done a great job of staying in place and being secure. I was waiting for it to fall in the middle of the night, but hasn't at this point. I would recommend these hooks for their look, ease of use, and their functionality.

I love these suction hooks for use on tile, glass, or porcelain. The installation is clean, with no need to play with screws or nails. Once they're placed at the location you need them to be, and screwed on properly, they hold really well. The suction hooks come with a backing that is a very sticky, soft, plastic material. A thin film protects the backing so that it retains its stickiness and smoothness, which are essential for adherence. To activate the backing, just peel off the film, clean the tile, position the hook, and screw in a clockwise direction until tight. They hold their position until you want to unscrew them and place them elsewhere. To reposition one, just turn the hook part counterclockwise, to release the adhesion, and then gently peel the sticky backing off the tile. Once freed, wipe the backing, make sure it is dry, position it in the new location, and start over. These look really good paired with any gold fixtures. They are worth every penny of the $7.99.

I love this that it sticks to the wall very well! It holds good amount of weight, and I install one in the shower so I can hang things. I can hold a bag with a big shampoo bottle! The installation is simple. You just need to clean the surface where you will place it with water and let it dry. On the dry wall, just stick the suction cup and place the cover. The thing that holds is a screw, so as you screw in, it will help to remove all the air from the suction so that it holds firmly.I also like the color because I noticed the stainless steel ones sometimes rust, which is kind of annoying. For this price, I think there is no question about this product. I would totally get this again if I need it more!

I got these to replace command strips that has been used to hold our towels on the side of our shower. We have a glass door and no good place to have towels hanging nearby other than right on the outside of our shower. These are a much nicer looking alternative that are holding up well. The directions on how to hang them were a bit confusing, but they're easy enough to figure out how to hang without them. The cups are a nice metal over a plastic component so it has a quality appearance without needing to rely on hardware or drilling into the wall. The suction cup has a slight adhesive on it so I hope it will hold up well, even with the humidity fluctuating.

These have the highest weight rating at 15 pounds. I have two other brands that are rated for 5 pounds. They are also the cheapest at $3.60 each. The others run about $5.00 each. They all claim stainless steel material. I like the look of all of them. I do think you have to be intentional about hanging a towel on the round hooks. Towels will slip off if you are not paying attention to how you’re hanging them. This is great for hanging wreaths on a door window and looks much better than the white Command hook I was using. The most weight I’ve tested on this hook is 6 pounds of wet neoprene. The directions specified only smooth surfaces, I used it on acrylic and glass. Not for drywall application.

These look so expensive but were reasonably priced! They go on super easy and can be moved anytime you would want to. Put them in my shower and they are perfect!
