I never write reviews but I am so incensed by this product that I felt it was necessary. I received this a gift and did not have the nerve to inform the giver of its poor quality. Reading through the other reviews my entire list of specific complaints has been covered. In addition to the extremely poor human engineering, the product does not always function properly. Most likely due to software issues as one reviewer documented. The only utility this product is that of scrap metal.

The numbers on this product are very small. takes a lot of steps to move from 1 square to another.

First of all, I love Sudoku. I play it on line, I play in the newspaper, and I play it in books. But this little pest of a device is too hard to use. It has a terrible user interface (and I work at a high technology company - so I am used to technical interfaces and things being hard).Stay away from this one and find another on Amazon instead. Or get a good book like this one:

This was not very convenient to use. The screen was very dark and moving around the puzzle was more of a hassle then it was worth.

I received this sudoku handheld for christmas as a gift. I started to get into sudoku a few months ago. while i still like to clip out the newspaper clipping, this handheld lets me take my growing gaming addiction on the go. there aren't many buttons so it's pretty intuitive on what to push to make it work. hope this helps!

I used to play w/ this puzzle game on the newspaper and then made my way to small booklets that i bought at the bookstore. Eventually my kids and I got 3 electronic handhelds for Christmas and I can't imagine life w/o one of these gizmos. I have nothing bad to say about this unit. Pretty good and easy to use. Great for people who dont want to control using hands and instead using the little pen that comes with the unit.I recommend this product to players.
