I really like this bag because it reminds me of the 70's, my favorite decade. I got it to wear with my 70's-inspired outfits.I got the brown, and it's a neutral dark chocolate brown. The inside is lined with a thin black fabric, with one zippered pouch on one side, and an open pouch of equal size on the other side. The zipper is smooth and doesn't look cheap. The best part is that the inside bottom has an insert that keeps the bag from totally collapsing under the weight of things put into the bag. We want "slouchy," not a sock holding quarters, right?The pic I submitted is how the bag looks when full.I took a half-star off for the strap. A more lux looking strap would take this bag to the next level. It's not terrible, but if you're super-picky about things looking expensive, then the strap may be an issue for you.I'm 5'1 with a short torso, so I can wear this bag on my shoulder or as a crossbody. On my shoulder, the bottom of the bag rests at the bottom of my hips.When I opened it, there was a faint odor, but nothing terrible, mostly like lingering cheap cologne as opposed to something worse. I hung it in my garage overnight and it's fine now.I took a quarter-star off for how it was packaged for delivery. It came folded inside a very fitted little (and flat) box. Because it was folded, it's got some areas where it's "bent" or creased. Hopefully those areas will "iron" themselves out with use.Finally, I took a quarter-star off for the faux suede fabric. I sew, and I've seen more lux-looking/feeling faux-suede fabric than the one used to make this bag. If you're looking for something that people would have trouble discerning whether or not your bag is real or faux, you may have an issue with this bag.This is not a luxury bag - especially at this price point. I'm keeping mine because it's a functional, cool, easy-breezy bag, just like the 70's used to be.
