Place the tape around the coronary band of the front hoof, tighten, and read the circumference in centimeters and the birth weight in pounds from the tape scale. One side measures bulls, the other heifers. Weight at birth may vary +/-7 lb for bulls and +/-6.4 lb for heifers due to hour of age and shrink or fill. Fabric USA.

Accurate tape we have used for years! It is generally within 2 pounds of an actual scale! Need to use it when the calf hits the ground, not days later. The newer design of having bull and heifer on the same side is nice!!

We have livestock scales compared this hoof tape and with girth tape on new calvesThis hoof tape was within 3 lbs of scales, girth tape was 8 lbs range.This tape has separate side for bull or heifer weight, great to have in pocket out in pastureLost our other one, this was a replacement.
