This product is exactly what we were looking for! It installed onto our existing boat seat, which was still in great condition, then worked perfectly attaching and detaching to our little fishing boat.

These clamps worked as imagined. They fit seats that are quite wide and when coupled with seat swivels the result is quite a comfortable set up.2 issues though.minor issue - the provided fabric pads all fell off before even the first use.major issue - The result is extremely unstable, even dangerous if you lean too far to the side. I fell twice & luckily it was to the inside of the boat. The design needs to include sideways support for safety.

Installed a generic swivel to it to make a rotating seat. Temporarily unfastened one end of the spring to release tension and access thru bolts easily. The seats are on the way. I expect the device to securely clamp on to the bench seat. They provide a set of zinc nuts and bolts, which won't stand up well to a salt environment over multiple seasons. .
