For a larger diameter tenkara rod, this holder is a great solution to line management. It's a simple design, that might seem like it won't work at first. After a few days on the water, I can confirm that it's effective and elegant. It's not very fancy - just two large buttons and a pair of thick rubber bands, but it manages tenkara line very well. I think I still prefer the standard "plastic clip-on and foam" holders for small diameter rods.

this is 100% the best line saver i’ve found for my tenkara rods. ive tried a few designs. the plastic clip-ons didn’t fit well on the tenkara USA or Tenkara Rob Co rods i own while this just magically fits all my rods. the winding spools don’t fit in the socks or tubes and they slide off the collapsed rods in transit while this is compact and secure and a permanent solution. i love it!

This is an outstanding product!!! Simple and effective design and fits on my Tenkara rod perfectly! This works better than the spools and EZ keepers.
