This is a custom made extension cable with 15 pins fully straight through. It can be used as extension cable for all HD15/DB15/VGA connectors.
The length of the cable is ~6 ft. 1 Male to 1 Female.
The wiring is DIFFERENT from a VGA cable (A VGA cable only has 7 pins connected, this cable has full connection of 15 pins).
This cable is made using the top quality wires with double shields to prevent EMI/RFI to ensure best sound quality.
Only the extension cable is included in this auction!

My Logitech Z623 2.1 sound system has a cable built into one of the speakers which connects to the sub-woofer brain unit. I wanted to move the sub-woofer further from the speaker. I needed an extension. It looked like a typical VGA 15 pin connector. It tried regular VGA extensions they didn't work. Until I searched for "straight-through VGA" and found this product that WORKS!

This was a great solution to extending the right speaker connection to the subwoofer on my Edifier S351DB. As other reviews have stated, the screws/nuts on the cable are on the opposite ends so the cables won't connect to the Edifier cable without modification. I used a dremel to cut the nuts off the cable so it could connect to the subwoofer. Cable worked perfectly for my use after that!

It's great that it's straight through with 15 individual wires. Just what I needed to fix my sound system.However... What I failed to notice in the picture is that the screws which normally are on the male part have been reversed.. So you can't actually lock them to other normal VGA cables... Really weird and unnecessary... Gonna have to duct tape the cables together I guess...

As others have noted, the screws/nuts are reversed compared to an actual VGA cable. While this is backwards for an Edifier speaker this is the correct orientation for the Z-906 speakers and works perfectly as an extender for its console.

I used this to extend the cable on the right speaker of my Edifier S350DB sound system and it worked perfectly! Before finding this cable, I tried using a regular VGA cable, ended up short-circuiting my speaker, and had to have it fixed. So, I was a little skeptical this cable would work, and hesitant to spend the money (I'm in Brazil, with customs duties it ended up a little expensive). But I'm really glad I took the chance. As many people mentioned in the reviews, the nuts and screw bolts are swapped between the male and female ends. Nothing that a hacksaw and a little patience couldn't fix, but it is a little annoying. Even with that, this is literally the only solution I found after weeks of searching, so 5 stars for sure!

Not a full 15-pin through cable as described. Only 8 pins are wired.

If you own a 5.1, 5.2, 7.1, 7.2 speaker system that connects some speakers to the control or sub woofer, you know that the distance between these components is limited by the length of the 15-pin cable that comes with the system. You may also know that using a VGA 15-pin cable may cause harm to your speakers because that cable is not straight through wired for each pin. I didn't experience this but was warned by reviewers of my speaker system what would happen if I tried to use this cable (2 speakers blew). Therefore I needed to find a straight through wired 15-pin cable and this met my needs, not perfectly but functionally. On arrival I checked with an ohmmeter that each pin was wired as advertised; they were. On installation I had to do what another reviewer did and that was cut off the nuts with my Dremel tool on the female end. That end did not have the screw bolts so would not screw in connect to my sub woofer (a minor inconvenience). I used those cut off bolts on the male end to connect the female end of my system cable, after cutting off about a 1/4" of the screw bolts. None of this merits a reduction in the rating. However I would suggest the manufacturer reverse these connection types to make a true 15-Pin extension cable so the cable connections are permanently screwed in place, the screw in bolts would exist on the female end and the nuts on the male end.

If you have been searching for a cable to allow you to put your Edifier SD350DB bookshelf right speaker a little further away from your subwoofer, then with a little modification this cable is the answer you seek.
