I'm using it to build a custom 3-wheeled wheelchair. Have also prototyped with Bikestar forks, which were a good fit for this project. But the Lil'Rocket fork is stronger, a lot prettier, only slightly heavier, and doesn't require cutting the fork tube to convert to a threadless headset + adapter. Unlike the Bikestar fork, the Lil"rocket doesn't come with brakes, but it has the hole for caliper rim brakes and I've installed those.12 1/2 inch wheels compatible with rim brakes are hard to find. The Bikestar wheels have rim brake compatible alloy rims, so that's the wheel I'm using. With a lightweight "foam" tire. In my application the whole front end has to be light weight so it can be lofted over a curb by merely yanking on the handlebars -- this is a manual wheelchair, the geezer riding the thing can't just step off and lift it.If anyone else is doing a crazy project like this, you might look into the Hudora kick scooter, it's got a very versatile head tube. However we decided to go full custom carbon fiber on the head tube. My primary source for carbon fiber composites is Rockwest, long list of standard products, quality stuff, reasonable prices, and unbelieveably good customer service. For custom machined aluminum pieces (for example axle sleeves), it's MTBtools.com .
