The hat works on large heads/big hair, but it is snug. The brim will not be as large as on the model if you have a large head. Function-wise, works as advertised. Lightweight and yet it blocks the sun well. And since it is snug on big heads, it won't blow away or slide off. Style-wise, the material is Halloween costume, cheap bathing suit, and dollar-store leggings material. Very cheap looking in my opinion, shiny, with a lot of stretch. The shiny stretch material can easily look tacky with the wrong outfit, FYI. Wasn't a fan. But I got it for the sun and not the sheen.
