I am on my second one now. The spring inside this mechanism can break or get misaligned very easily rendering it useless. The first time it happened, the spring jammed the mechanism open and made it almost impossible to get it out of the trailer.Now that I know the issue, it is a bit easier to deal with, but just wish I didn't have to in the first place.

My very old one gave up and I didn’t know what to ask for. Took some searching.So much easier than the clip thingy that was provided for my old hands

This is the easiest tool to hitch my cart on to my lawn tractor. A must to have!

This works perfectly but could be made a little stouter. Not as heavy duty as I thought when I bout it. But hey it works!

The hitch pin inserted easily and seemed to work OK. But after several weeks the squeeze to release mechanism failed and the hitch pin could not be extracted.I had to use a hacksaw to cut the hitch pin apart in order to separate the trailer from the lawn tractor.I do not recommend the hitch pin.

I had one of these for about three years. I was not gentle with it nor kind. It finally broke when I had gotten it stuck in the ground ans tried to drive the tractor away. With this great history, I quickly ordered this second one. It works fine and I expect a good useful life of it.
