Excellent bulbs that put out a lot of bright, clear, neutral light. They arrived securely packaged with a minimum of styrofoam and foam sheeting, and all 10 proved to be in perfect condition. They were an amazing upgrade over the ancient fluorescent tubes they replaced. NOTE that using these in fluorescent fixtures requires rewiring of the fixture to bypass/eliminate the ballasts -- a task that can be challenging (and potentially very dangerous) for a do-it-yourselfer who lacks electrical experience. If you're not sure you can do the conversion, hire an electrician or purchase the LED bulbs designed to use in ballasted fixtures.

My garage fluorescent lights started going bad, so I decided to try the direct wiring (by passing the ballast) and changing the tubes out for LED tubes. After watching hours of YouTube videos, I tried the 2-end configuration and ordered these tubes. Rewiring the fixture was easy; I snipped the wires and made the connections. Then, I opened the box of LED tubes. Four out of the ten tubes had damaged, one was broken, and three had bent or loose pins. I contacted the company, and their customer service folks were great. They are sending four replacements. The lights themselves are really good. They are very bright. I am happy with this purchase.

The only reason I didn't rate them 5 stars is because they are maybe 1/16" or a little less longer than normal florescent lights, it just enough that you have to start one side then pull out on the other to get them in and they fit almost too tight, one of my ceiling lights I had to bend the housing a little to get it inside the housing, and I didn't think it was going to fit the light without breaking it, but I finally got it in. Now once they are in the work great.

Aug'24: compared to the "daylight" florescents I've been using, this is a MUCH whiter light, typical of alll "white" LED's Made-in-China (just no way around that!). Just the same the lumens are comparible as it puts out enough illumination.I see there are miniature circuit boards in each end of the tube, most likely to adapt to your existing ballast which kinda worries me as a potential failure point with no way to open up the tube to bypass them if they do (use external 12VDC transformer).BEWARE--these are NOT compatible with shunt-wired fluorescent fixtures and they are not guaranteed compatible (working) with all ballasts. In fact, a list of "compatible ballasts" is provided with a QR code to access their website for a longer list.Bottom line: don't expect these to work with every fixture, you may have to rewire and/or bypass. But if you don't mind super-white light and you're trying to save on your electric bill then it's worth a try.

I have a bunch of 4-tube workshop-type fluorescent fixtures in my garage as I use it as a shop. (Doesn't everyone?) The fixtures and ballasts in them are 10 years old. The fixtures still work great, but I got tired of the labor and expense of changing out the T8 fluorescent bulbs every couple of years. As fluorescent bulbs age, they get dimmer and dimmer and take longer to reach full brightness. Doesn't help that up at ceiling level during the summer, the temps are 110F+ in my garage. Had enough of burnt out or about to burn out, fluorescent bulbs. So, I bought these Sunco bulbs, specifically the version guaranteed to work with a ballast. While I'm totally capable of removing the ballasts and wiring the fixtures "straight through", I don't want to do it if I don't have to. I have a bunch of fixtures and some of them it's not easy to get a ladder under them.Sure, enough, these bulbs work fine with the ballasted fixtures. They are very bright. But something to note: Because the LEDs face straight down, there isn't much light that spills sideways onto the ceiling like with standard fluorescent bulbs. The ceiling in the shop is noticeably darker, but down at floor level where it really matters, it's nice and bright. The product picture don't show it, but these "bulbs" are really just clear glass tubes with an LED strip stuck in straight line across the tube length. Kinda made me do a double take when I saw it, but wasn't really sure what to expect with these. I have bought other LED fluorescent bulbs before and the glass was opaque, so I couldn't see inside. The big question for me is "But how long will they last?" Time will tell. Those fixtures are probably on for 12-ish hours a week, total. So we'll see. So far I'm pleased that they work as advertised and are bright.
