The trick to getting the install is to just start each bolt once you line up the sections. Then at the end put the top piece on before tightening each of the bolts on the 4 sections. This replaced a half dome screen that was always hard to remove/replace when hot. You definitely need a long pole and a safe place to put this when removing it as the entire screen gets hot including the little loop handle. We went with the 40 inch screen because we have a larger pit and stones around the outside that easily accommodates this size. Had some pine popping last couple of weekends and this was holding it down!

This is a nice spark-free screen, that fits perfectly on my 40 in round fire pit. It is heavy duty and well-made. It is great for keeping the fire where belongs. I wish the handle was bigger. The metal gets really hot. Makes sure you have a glove or pole to move the screen.

I got this pit cover as my last one rusted and broke. This is a quality cover and heavy duty. It was semi easy to assemble. It was a little awkward putting it together, but I eventually got it. It works great covering my fires and I don't have to worry about all the embers and what not flying around.

It took a little bit of time to assemble, there are several nuts and bolts that hold the 4 pieces together. It's not hard to do, but it will help to have someone to hold a wrench for you. It went together nicely overall.I have used it on the firepit a couple of times now and it is holding up well. The mesh is fine enough to keep things in and the handle on top is perfect for me to stick my fire poker into for lifting. It is heavy enough to stay in place even in strong wind, but not so heavy that I have to strain to lift it.I also tested this on my "trash" pit, where I burn leaves and old dirty cardboard. It held in the bits that would normally go flying around. If the flame touches it, it burns off some shipping oil or something but so far the mesh has held up after 10 hot fires. I really haven't found anything wrong with this cover.

Bought this spark screen for our fire pit and it’s been great. It fits perfectly, feels super sturdy, and definitely makes the fire feel a lot safer, especially with kids and pets around. It still lets the heat through but keeps all those little sparks from flying out.Really happy with it so far — solid quality and way better than trying to watch the fire without any protection. Totally recommend if you want some extra peace of mind!

So this comes in 4 pieces and you get 12 screws and washers to screw it all together so grab yourself a battery operated tool and wrench. I don’t want to say this is a bad screen but it is on the thin side and I’m not sure how all these screws and bits will hold up to heat over the long term. It’s too bad they didn’t inclued the lift tool to pick up the hot screen off the fire.
