Would have gave 5 stars but it is my first Sundown sub and the dust cap was poorly glued on , besides that seems ok , just bothers me to see that

I have this sub in a 1.4cu net sealed box (I know it's not recommended) pushed by an audiozerone ze500.1 at 1 ohm. This gets pretty loud for a sealed 12. I can only imagine what the recommended ported box would deliver.

Great for starters, handle a lil more power than advertised. A lil more. Decent sub

Was skeptical but lots of videos brought me to this 12. Paired with the right box and amp it sounds great. Good customer service helped me out.

Should have gotten this in the beginning!I’ve heard of Sundown for many years but never tried it. Because I use a mini amp to power my front speakers, I don’t need a crazy powerful subwoofer.I’ve tried the 12” Alpine Type S (blew twice) and rocked the 12” Kicker Comp R (had it for two years with zero issues). The Alpine Type S is about as loud as this Sundown E-12. Kicker Comp R is also about as loud. But the Sundown subwoofer hits lower, has more endurance, and moves more air. These subs love ports, make sure to get a boxed tuned to 32hz. I feel so much air pushing out when I bump and the excursion is great. I can feel my entire driver seat vibrating when it hits and I have a ported box.I don’t need to upgrade at all, I am now content with the subwoofer. I was pairing it with the Kicker Key 500.1 but wired parallel at 1ohm, it heats the little Kicker Key up.. feels stressed out. I’ve upgraded to a Sundown SFB-1000D. Sub is now wired series at 4ohms for more efficiency, clarity, and less heat. The SFB-1000D is rated at 510W RMS for 4ohm. It sounds a bit cleaner (barely noticeable for casual listeners) but it’s definitely more efficient and less stress on my electrical system. I also did a big 3 upgrade. If you’re thinking about it, just buy it! Sundowns are the best for the money and easy to rebuild. I’m team Sundown and now I know why I’ve been hearing about Sundown for years.

Single E12 on a sfb600.1. Sounds great in a ported box. I have it turned down at the moment while it breaks in and its already shaking everything in the car.

Amp that i bought from this seller was damaged but I tested the sun on a volt meter and it was perfect. Still working after I switched amps after about a month wired at 2ohms

I have one of these in the trunk of my car in a ported box. It's powered by a 400w RMS little tiny alpine amp. But this thing bumps. Would recommend
