I bought this socket specifically for heavy truck steering sector shaft arm nuts. Torque specifications for nut is 490 lb.ft (665 Nm). I've removed and installed many of these nuts with this socket and no issues.

So far so good. I use the socket in the oilfield to tighten/loosen nuts on high pressure flanges. I operate my impact at 1440lb/ft make and 1550lb/ft break. This socket has taken the abuse and not let me down.

I’ve been using Sunex sockets my entire career, some are over 30 years old and still perform and look like new. The broken ones are quickly replaced just like the Snap-Ons. Given the size its not a daily use socket its 10x the value of a Snap-On. For comparison a Snap-On is about $100.For the record, all my 3/4” drive SAE sockets up to 2” are Snap-On and I’ve never broke one. Wore them out but never broke. I’ve only broken one Sunex, a 2-3/8 removing a pinion nut.

It's a good socket even though it is a tiny bit shorter well compared to other high dollar sockets. But it doesn't fall off the nut easy. It has hold up good so far. I mainly used it with 3/4" ratchet and breaker bar and every once in a while with a manual multiplier. Out in the oil fields.

Worked well for my air compressor drain. Good price for this size socket.
