This SunGrow hut will make the perfect addition to your aquarium or reptile tank. A tunnel formed of these coco huts having large space and two entrance ways creates a dark and inviting environment for your hermit crabs, spiders or reptiles to hide in. Your crabs will love scuttling in and out of the shelter, which will provide a feeling of privacy and security. Not only that, you can make a tunnel game of these huts and let your pets exercise their brains going in and out of these.
Hermit crabs are fun little creatures, known for simply climbing over anything and everything. By adding this little hill, your crab will be entertained and stimulated for hours. The SunGrow Coco hut will also enhance your crabitat, reptile tank or aquarium. The hand-carved, textured surface of the shelter simulates an environment that is close to your pets’ natural habitat.

The SunGrow Cocohut shelter has a spacious interior and measures 5 inches by 3 inches. The airy, open space is perfect for larger pets, unlike smaller caves which are used as shrimp breeding grounds. This cave is ideal not just for hermit crabs, even crayfish, mud turtle, box turtle, leopard gecko love it.
Always rinse before use, even after boiling or soaking. By the way, a "post-boil soak" in fresh water is a recommended step too. Although we obtain our products from known sources, you can never be too careful, and the extra step is worthwhile, in our opinion. Please note, as this is a natural product, the dimensions may vary slightly piece to piece.

I loved this, and my hermit crabs loved it. They loved going into the tunnel and it's sturdy enough that my hermit crab doesn't move it which is something they usually do with new toys. Even If water or sand gets on this, it drys and you don't have to do any extra cleaning for this product either. This tunnel is their hideout and they can spend a whole day in there.

I've had these for 9 months and I love them. I bought 3 shells to create a pleco cave and found all the fish use these. As decor goes, they are nice, simple and natural. They have enough weight to stay in place and I keep them semi-stacked, though the pleco eventually pushes them around - she's big. Biggest plus has been watching my pleco and mystery snail interact with the shells. In that regard they are the best decor in my tank. Only warning - if you want crystal clear water be sure to boil/soak these before putting them in your tank. I just rinsed mine - tannins don't bother me - and my tank was tinted, even with water changes, for about 3 months.

I bought these to put in my fish tanks and in my crab paludarium. The crabs love them to hide in (on land), and my fish love them to hide in (in the water).The nice thing is that the surface is rough so I've been able to get java moss and java ferns to stick to the surface, letting it grow out. It looks really nice like that.

Love the entry on both sides but found this too late, hermit crab only fit for a few months and then got too big (or shell is big) to hide inside. Still looks great and he can climb on top!

Er.....it's half a coconut with two holes either end. The fish love it, good place to hide and the holes are big enough for our dwarf gouarmis to enter easily. We have since bought some more and have a coconut trailer park at the front of our tank (but with less wife-beater tops and hill-billies)

This is a nice item to have for your hermit crab. A hut is essential. If you have a small hermit crab this will work out great. It does not take up too much space in a tank or cage. Unfortunately my guy is a bit too big for the opening and he got himself stuck. I am on the hunt for a slightly bigger one. I am keeping this in his tank though, I pushed it down into the sand and now he can climb all over it.
