My usage was mainly for use under a fishing hat. I have a few hats with lots of ventilation and I worry about the compromised UPF50 rating of the hats with direct sun and lots of ventilation. These beanies should protect any stray UV that is directed through the ventilation holes.As for the cooling effect, I have several "cooling" hats, towels, etc. and they are made to provide cooling, by soaking in cool water, wringing them out, and then using. I sometimes wet the towel and drape over my head under a hat, but I think these beanies will work better and provide for better air flow.These beanies will be used the same way. The chill from the cool water will usually last 20 to 30 minutes, then I simply re-soak, wring, and put back on. In the shade under a hat, these beanies may have extended cooling times. I will edit after a few hours in the heat of the summer doing yard work, or more enjoyably flinging a few flies.These fit my head fine, not too tight, not too loose, perfect coverage, and very comfortable.The price is great and the quality looks good. I will edit this review after some usage and a few washings.

The SUNMECI Cooling Skull Caps are an excellent choice for anyone needing a breathable and moisture-wicking liner for helmets or outdoor activities. The material is lightweight, soft, and does a great job keeping sweat out of my eyes while cycling and working out. They fit snugly but comfortably under a helmet without feeling too tight. The black and gray color options are nice, and they wash well without losing their stretch. Overall, a solid choice for anyone active in sports or outdoor work!

Breathable, lightweight, material feels like a second layer of skin, buttery soft. Unfortunately they are a little too big for my head and I'm not a fan of the fit on me, but they are definitely not bad.

I got these as a test for drying my hair. I've been growing my hair out and it's at this awkward point it's long enough I need some control over it but I can't pull it back into a bun or ponytail and I don't want to apply a lot of product into it. I grabbed this 2-pack of cooling skull caps for my husband, who has a shaved head and his work takes him to job sites, which require hard hats. My hope was that these would make wearing a hard hat more comfortable in the Florida heat. Unfortunately, they didn’t quite work out for that purpose - the fabric is a bit slippery, and the hard hat shifted around too much for his comfort and safety.That said, he's found they work really well under his full-face motorcycle helmet. They keep his head noticeably cooler and help prevent sweat from migrating into his eyes during rides.The cooling fabric feels decent, and having two in the pack means he always has a clean one ready when the other’s in the wash. So while it didn’t solve the hard hat issue, it’s been a solid pick for motorcycle comfort in hot weather.

These skull caps are just what I needed to keep the sweat and grime off my helmet liners. I wear helmets when I ride and fly and found that I sweat quite a bit in the summer heat and that sweat ends up all over my helmet liners and makes cleaning them a pain. These are very thin and light weight and you can't tell that you're even wearing them. The great thing is that you can just toss them in the wash and they clean up easily. No more tearing the liners out of my helmets to clean them.
