When I read that this wind spinner scares away the birds I knew right away that it wasn't for me. I'm the one that gives them fountains to drink and bath in. I put out nectar and seed and millet treats daily. I love watching the birds visit my garden and love their chatter. But then I remembered the orchard in the back. All of those newly planted fruit trees. The birds have welcome invitations to the front yard and but I don't want to roll out the red carpet to my budding orchard. I really wanted a wind spinner too. So now, it looks like I can have one. I unboxed my spinner inside and assembled it. I noticed right away the flat metal circles. Before I take my spinner outside, I'm going to bedazzle it by glueing on some faceted cabochons and flatback rhinestones. I took a picture so you can see the pattern up close. I wouldn't have minded it it was a little heavier and more commercial looking like the ones you see at the nurseries. The winds can be really strong here.I'm hoping this spinner won't deter my owls from hunting my gophers. Time will tell. But it's really pretty watching it spin.

I love everything about this spinner! It came packaged very well and put together easily. It spins effortlessly with the ball bearings and rotates with the wind like a weather vane. The post is heavy duty and goes deep into the ground for a sturdy base. The colors are vibrant and mesmerizing and I find myself staring at it and getting a little giddy when the wind picks up...
