I have been looking for something to hang the stockings on the mantel but wouldn't take away from the doctor on top. Definitely did not want the bulky, heavy, decorative holders. My mantel is not a square shelf. It's slanted and ornate so command hooks were not a good choice either and I definitely did not want to put holes in the mantel to nail something in. I was very skeptical when I got these because I couldn't wrap my head around how a flat disc with a hook could hold a stocking. But it does! It has a non-slip surface on the disc that keeps it in place and slips nicely under the garland which makes it very discreet. And since it doesn't use adhesive, it can be used year after year which also makes it a much better bargain than command hooks. I can't speak for how well it holds a stocking with stuff inside but I usually put the stockings under the tree after they are filled so it's not an issue. Very pleased with this purchase!

I'm returning this as it didn't work as a stocking holder for me. The hook faces the wrong direction and wasn't long enough to go under the fireplace mantle. Unless your mantle is a 2'x4' this will not work as a stocking hanger for you. The product will work just fine to keep a purse off the floor of a restaurant while out eating.

I ordered them after Christmas so I packed them away I don’t have a photo of them and use but I will next year they are the perfect item that I was looking for I used to have a rail as you came in my home I hung stockings there I have moved so I had to move where I hang them those socks will be perfect

These are decent for the money. However, when the stockings were empty (so all but one day), they constantly shifted and fell because these hooks are so lightweight. If your stockings will be hung in a low-traffic area, go for it. If, like me, they're hung where kids and adults pass by multiple times a day, find a more stationary hook! I ended up purchasing stocking holders that are weighted and sit on top of the mantle.

The circle part swivels so much it feels like its going to break. The hook part faces towards the mantle making it very difficult (compared to traditional outer facing hooks) to hang the stocking. The stocking can't just be hung. It has to be adjusted everytime it gets bumped because it doesn't actually have weight to stay on the mantle/ledge, it just lightly sits there. The hook would be easier to use if it wasn't so short as well. Once it's on the ledge, the hook part nearly touches the underside of the ledge if it doesn't actually touch it. You get what you pay for. Very cheaply made and doesn't do a good job.
